Going Beyond News: The Journalist
We are pleased to announce that beginning this week, subscriptions and door to door deliveries, together with e-subscriptions will be of The Journalist will be available.
The weekly newsmagazine-newspaper has been reborn in an avatar that caters more to the philosophy that readers should also become writers, with a bent on contemplative content, as opposed to hard news, which we feel is saturating the market. In that light, The Journalist has been redesigned with focus on aesthetic visuals, art, craft, photography, opinion and columns by well known and ordinary folks highlighting circumstances and introspection concerning all Bhutanese.
The idea is that we keep increasing the number of pages both in terms of informative and educational (and of course, in an appealing package) as per shift in societal trends and the changes brought about by time. We hope to bridge the gap between all sections of our society.
The Journalist, as a quality weekly paper in the vein of a newsmagazine, will reflect a quality we believe, can be comparable to any other international weekly. The importance of print media in Bhutan cannot be understated and any help, whether in the form of subscriptions, newsstand sales and naturally, advertisements will be deeply appreciated.
We invite you to become a part of “The Journalist” to ensure that we can sustain it as an important weekly all Bhutanese can be proud of and in that process, also help steer the other face of a working, vibrant and transparent democracy.
Subscribe to “The Journalist” today and become a contributing journalist.
